What we aim for. Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.2. The site has not been audited by an outside specialist, so we do not claim that it meets that level. It is checked with automated accessibility tests and with a keyboard.
Every page has a link at the top that skips to the content, one main heading, and labelled navigation. Every photograph has a text description. Focus is always visible. Nothing important depends on colour alone.
What you can change. The round button at the bottom right of every page opens the accessibility settings: text size, high contrast, a more readable typeface, wider spacing, underlined links, no motion and a larger pointer. Your choices stay on your device and nowhere else. The site also follows your device's own setting for reduced motion. The photographs at the top of the home page change on their own, with a pause button beside them and a dot for each one; if you have asked for less motion they hold still until you press play. The photograph slider further down never moves by itself.
What is not yet right. The photographs of the club's evenings are described in a sentence, not in detail. Event artwork on the calendar is a designed poster; the same facts are in the text beside it. Online enquiries are not open yet, so the forms cannot be submitted; your Club Assistant takes every enquiry.
If something does not work for you. Tell your Club Assistant on WhatsApp and say what you were trying to do. We read every message and will tell you what we can change.
